National Eligibility Test (Net) Exam Notification details and important tips

UGC Net Exam Notification is out On 31 August 2018.
This Year onward NTA Will conduct UGC net exam in online mode.
Online Application begin from 01-09-2018 up to 30-09-2018
UGC National Eligibility Test (Net) is an eligibility test for college and university level lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), On 31-August 2018 notification are released for UGC National Eligibility Test 2018 Examination. Until July 2018 it was conducted by CBSE From this year onward UGC Net exam will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organisation to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. NTA Will conduct UGC Net Exam twice in a year and now it will be conducted in Online mode instead of Offline in December 2018.
The Exam will be Computer Based And Consist of two papers of Multiple choice Paper-I & Paper-II with a break of 30 Minutes between them. Paper -I consist of 50 Questions of 100 marks with one-hour duration. The questions will be generic in nature, intending to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
Paper-II will of 100 questions of 200 marks, with two-hour duration. This will be based on the subject selected by the candidate. All the questions of Paper–II will be compulsory.

Some important tips for Net exam Preparation
The net exam is expected to be held between 09-23 December 2018. There is not much time in hand so here are some tips that you can consider while preparing for UGC net exam.
1. Solve previous year papers and model set of Net examinations, at least two model set daily. Solving previous year paper and model set will give you the idea about the pattern and trends of previous examinations. Go through each question also consider other options of each question. Do a deep research on the questions which went wrong or not known on the internet or through different books and make a note of it. Try to solve each question with accuracy and within time limits.
2. On the basis of the previous year, papers make a detailed analysis of questions in sections. see questions are asked from which sections frequently, what is the level of questions of each section easy, moderate or hard. Which questions or types are repeated every year. what is the weight distribution of each section.
